Kentucky lake is absolutely beautiful and the campground was nice. Good live music Friday and Saturday night. I would recommend not having the children on motorized vehicles allowed to continuously ride and disturb the peace of the beautiful lakeview. I would love to have had a little more peace and quiet. The pool could also use updating.

When we first rented a slip here, we were fairly satisfied with the location even though it was hugely overpriced ($220/month for a 25ft uncovered slip) but we had to have a slip at the time. The environment is clean, quiet, and the neighbors are excellent. Unfortunately, one day our boat began shipping water.

Overall, the facilities are adequate, if overpriced, and the community is great. The road to get there is great if you're on a bike and like twisties, but not so great if you're towing anything bigger than a jonboat. Keep an eye out for the owner if you're on the way in, he's probably on the side of the road laughing at someone with a wheel in one of the many ditches, right before he drives off to go home and pull the wings off of butterflies.

However, when we returned to load the boat on its trailer, the owner stated that if HE had been there he would have untied the boat and let it sink. This strikes me as an unacceptable attitude on multiple levels and for multiple reasons, the first being that when you're being raped on your slip rate (almost 2x the going rate), there is an expectation of excellent service and security for the extra money. I don't feel that plugging in a pump and throwing in a hose is exactly above and beyond normal expectations for staff or management in this situation.

Love this place above All others!! They are very helpful and would recommend anyone to have an awesome time here and don't forget to rent a pontoon

We stayed here as a last minute move when our original lodging had broken a/c. Greatly appreciated their willingness to work us in. Lodgings were older in style. Great if you are looking for a fishing camp, we were just there to view the eclipse.

Secondly, the "you mean nothing" attitude towards a customer and their property is appalling. If he had just kept his mouth shut and his attitude to himself, we never would have known what a douchebag he was. Slip rentals pay the bills so running away potential long term customers isn't exactly a brilliant business strategy.

Called today 6/23/17 to see about RV camping space and boat rental. The lady that I talked to helpful at first then rude about parking at campsite. I have been to Leatherwoods on a few occasions always had a good time. Her attitude was uncalled for. She said I could park 1 vehicle and aboat at my campsite. I mentioned that I knew that I would have to pay extra for more than four people staying with me and she jumped the gun and said she could not have 7 or 8 vehicles taking up her parking. I said that she stated that I could have a car and a boat and that I did not have a boat. She then said ok and hung up. Don't know what her problem is but I don't have to stay there or rent boats there if I am going to be in there way.

As we are an hour away, when we received the call we hurried to the dock and several hours later were able to recover it fully. Had it not been for a neighbor and a staff member who tried to keep up with the flow using a transfer pump, it would have been a salvage operation, and they are owed my thanks and gratitude.
